1.  Change Poker Site


First of all, nothing is going to happen for 270 days. The Secretary and the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System have 270 days (after the bill is signed by the president) to come up with enforcement policies and procedures.    However, some poker sites have already stopped offering their online service to US Customers.  Fortunately, not all poker sites have taken the same cautious approach.  For example Poker Stars,  the second biggest poker network, has confronted the government and said it will still allow US players because poker is a game of skill and so doesn't fall under the definition of the new law!

Sites like PartyPoker have already stopped access to USA registered players.  However some US players report to have found a way to continue playing on these sites.  They claim to have looked up an addresses in the UK or Canada using the telephone directory and have used the address to open a new gaming account.
